Ah ah ! Yes, thank you, JHugues
But, really, so far, the GUI doesn't appeal to me, and doesn't entice me to play with it : the green is too saturated, the text too small (while there are many wasted space on the GUI), the title too big (compared to the text), the informations not clearly laid out, the 3 knobs style don't fit very well together and are a bit too much contrasted...
I was waiting for a hint of a new colorscheme and layout before trying it out.
While many phaser pedals are either funky or classy, with style (even the dull Boss PH3 has a foolproof design), this one stands out at first glance like the hidden son of Eddie Van Halen with a MoogerFooger in a Steampunk festival

Thanks for the update! Looking forward to trying it out.
BTW, I really appreciate that you reply to your emails. Your input was very helpful getting me started with Poly-Ana.

I love this phaser. The low rate LFO is particularly useful. But I'm done with this beta nonsense. It's been a year. I'll wait for the new GUI and presets.

I went ahead and bought it, couldn't stand the thought that it might end up being fantastic and I'd missed a deal. Not the most rational decision but I can afford the $16 as I'm a fully employed and responsible adult.
Definitely looking forward to the manual. I have only the barest idea of how phasers/phasing works, so I'm hoping you're able to not only provide technical explanations of what each parameter does, but hopefully some type of music-oriented description.
I'm not sure exactly what that would look like, sorry. I guess what I'm worried about is that the manual would be something like "Turn the knob CW to increase the hypodifinator rate. The floog response is inversely tied to the hypodifinator rate, so high values of the former will produce low values of the latter and vice versa." and that's it.
Experimentation can be a very effective way to learn, but it's nice to have a direction to go exploring, too. In the above example, I'd want to know, What is a floog response and how does it affect the sound?

Happy Birthday! One year in "beta" and one year of "special beta sale price".
I'm in awe of this marketing. It's like a body in suspended animation with the heart beating once every hour. Can't wait for the next installment sometime in 2019.

Well, it worked for me. The forum updates letting me know what had been worked on made me feel like you're responsive and want to give the customers what they want. And having the cheap price remain available was a very nice bonus.
Speaking of responsiveness, thanks for the 0.52 update. Reaper will automute, of course, but it's annoying to have to undo your last knob tweak, unmute the track, and try again more carefully. I haven't tried this yet - does it show you the values as you turn the knob? Or is it strictly an eye-ear-coordination-based method? Any chance of an indicator of when it's clipping?

Plz advise how your Stunning Phaser differs /exceeds new: Eventide Instant Phaser Mk II just introduced at $37. (Reg price $129.).
This is serious 'learner' inquiry, ready to add Phaser soon, and hoping Stunning Phaser still rules !

Thank-you. Several 'upper tier' sources charge notably more for tools which may be excellent, but minimally more capable then lesser-known equivalents.
It will be helpful to see your initial impressions of Eventide's new offering since Stunning Phaser may well be a stronger choice.
BTW, I do have your latest Beta demo and continue to explore.

And this Instant Phaser plug-in is particularly limited by the fact that its a fairly faithful emulation of a classic, real-world device that isn't nearly as capable as even your average run-of-the-mill plugin phaser. They modeled the limitations of expensive hardware by matching the limited features of expensive hardware.

Impressive synopsis and sufficient to dim my interests in Instant Phaser Mk II.
Thank-you for such quick and comprehensive help. At the current price, Stunning Phaser seems an obvious addition.
THX!

Talented VST Users like top, small area of pyramid. Like many others, I reside in large mid-lower area, and depend heavily on Presets to listen, check Settings, and learn.
Stunning Phaser Demo, absent Presets, is even more challenging than others, which may be far less capable. Beta price is so low, will likely add and hope presets get me going.
So far only couple dozen 'looks' on VI-C Forum am no Replies.

A few categories were overlooked in the comparison:
- Out of beta?
- Includes presets?
- Decent GUI?
Speaking of which how is that GUI coming along?

Some regard the 'tropical insect green' background color as touch intense; others seem ruffled by the somewhat random vomiting of knobs. Our esteemed Admiral has long said the current GUI is a placeholder and indicated a proper GUI will come during it's second year as a beta (he's not to be rushed).
But as night follows day there will always be the righteous hardcore who say that "the GUI doesn't matter to me, it's the sound that counts". With luck we may read one of their comments to this effect below.

In Post # 109, Admiral Quality responds to inquiry about new Eventide Instant Phaser MK II.
While Presets, Knobs, GUI are raised, I would hope other 'knowledgeable' Replies could also review those details as important with the Beta ending.
When comparing with a new Eventide release, Stunning Phaser seems to be a very capable alternative. I quickly acknowledge a lack of Phaser expertise to comment

I think the Admiral's Stunning Phaser is excellent. I certainly enjoy using it more than PhaseMistress, and by all account it is a far more flexible phaser than the new Eventide, especially when it comes to the LFO shape. The Eventide is copping some flak over the somewhat eccentric and unalterable cycle. It's the permanent beta status of Stunning Phaser I object to.

Got it! Agree this should be resolved after so much time and hopefully released to bring in acceptable returns.

I'll try to get 1.0 out before I become homeless but, as you might imagine, this stressful situation is not conducive to development.

Seriously tough and sad scenario. Has been a series of Threads /Posts on VI-C Forum regarding so many developers, severe price competition, and ominous trends.
I intended to post re. Poly-Ana over there and may still do so. OTOH, new and Updated updated Synth prices are down in the $100. range e.g. New Arturia_ Pigments , major Updated u-he _ Hive.
I sincerely wish you well and trust you will find a workable path forward.

A dev I regularly correspond with has similar issues. He made a fantastic synth, glowing reviews, good buzz, good price, and the sales are almost zero. There's an apparent user-base but he's just getting no return on his work.
But music-makers are not in any better situation themselves. The market value of music is pretty near zero these days. As soon as you release a track either nobody cares and you join the ocean of obscurity, or it gets play on dozens of different platforms and user accounts almost none of which generate the composer anything.
Mobile seem to have got around the issue by a combination of low price and a (more or less) walled garden. Likewise with Steam for games. Vloggers rely on patreon. Maybe that's closer to a new model for devs?
Whatever the solution making things more difficult for legitimate users is not one of them. Remember the old "FBI Warnings" that used to be unskippable before DVD movies? The only people forced to watch were the ones who'd bought the movie :/ The protection should be as close to invisible as possible.
One final thought: There's the demographic that products are being pitched to. I know that one patch dev has stated very clearly that his living comes from the soundtrack crowd as they actually pay for product; he can hardly make a dime marketing anything EDM-related. Maybe that's related to his product, or maybe it's the nature of the customers.
