Melodyne and Reaper run asynchronously
If I work with Reaper and Melodyne (ARA, VST3, both latest updates) and press play, Melodyne runs asynchronously (earlier as Reaper). There seems to be no latency compensation for Melodyne. In my other DAWs Melodyne works fine. The support of Celemony says that this is a Reaper problem. So I report this.

I have the same issue. So I've ended up not using Melodyne at all in Reaper - it's a bit of a blindfold when you can't easily tell which blob to edit due to this mis-alignment.

Same here,
Is this a bug ?
Or thrrs somewhere we can re-adjust from preference ?
This also happens on wavestune plugin.

Long shot... do you have any high-latency plugins in your master track or monitoring chain? e.g. Ozone, convolution reverbs...

Also I had this sync problem myself a while ago but it was only with the VST2 version - VST3 was fine.
Are you absolutely sure you are using the VST3 version?

I have this too, where Melodyne's play cursor and the highlighting of the blobs is visually a little ahead of what I am hearing, maybe between a 1/16 and an 1/8 note at about 127 bpm.
But the actual audio out from MD is in tight sync and lines up with Reaper. It appears to only be a visual thing. ARA is sometimes a little odd in how it refreshes its analysis of track items, but actual sync has not been a problem for me.
I am using Studio 4 on a Windows 8.1 laptop. But I recall it being the same way when I used a lower end version 2.1.2 on a Windows desktop some years back.
It can be a little confusing with faster moving notes, but it's something I've just learned to live with.

This happened to me earlier, and the solution here didn't work for me.
What I ended up doing was:
1. Duplicate the vocal track
2. Do the Melodyne editing with the duplicate soloed
3. Render the edited items to new takes, then crop them
4. Using the original vocal items (waveforms) as a guide, manually slide the rendered and delayed vocals up to their original position
5. Delete the original vocal items and move the duplicates up to that track
Not ideal...but faster than faffing about trying to figure out how to prevent the delay.
