Just wanted to say thanks to Mordi for creating this. I found it yesterday and it's absolutely brilliant. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help on the graphics side of things (or anything else really). I would jump between FL and Reaper all the time because I like the atmosphere and speed of FL - the relaxed visuals are inspiring. I'm going to be setting up a template for working as quickly as I do in FL and will share that once it's done.

Cool! Well, it's an open theme so anyone is free to go in there and edit it. I've paused work on it for now, but might come back to it later. Recently purchased a MacBook with a retina display, which lets me test out HiDPI/4k-mode at some point.

This is outstanding! I looked for an FL theme in 2019 or so and didn't find one suitable. I tweaked a few of the arrange view colours to my liking using the old theme tweaker.
If I may give some unsolicited feedback:
- I found the toolbar buttons looking pressed when hovering over them a bit confusing
- If I had to choose, I'd have the 'record monitoring' button on the TCP over the phase invert button. Inverting phase seems more a mixing task, whereas recording is an arrange view task.
- For the splash, I don't want to break people's brains too much with the FL logo. Having the Reaper badge tinted with the vivid green and orange of FL's logo would be enough for me.
Edit: sorry, didn't see Spookye's posts. The shiny one is growing on me.

This continues to be my favourite theme, but damn I'd love to have a 4K version. Is there any way to help support this update @Mordi?

I’m pretty swamped with audio work for the next months, so I highly doubt I can make the 4k version any time soon unfortunately. But the graphics are all vectorized, so it’s mostly a WALTER issue.

You can create 150 and 200 (or any) layouts using macro and layout_dpi_translation command. Its pretty easy and your rtconfig will not becomes much bigger. the only thing that needs a lot of time is to create 150% and 200%(or any) scaled images

I see. That bodes well, because about half of the graphics can be exported at 200% in just a few minutes.
The ones that use pink/yellow lines have to manually adjusted, which will be time-consuming. All the graphics are vector-based, so it scales well.

Hey Mordi,
I've been using your template for a while to get a grasp on how Affinity Designer works and I think I'm currently facing the same issue with pink and yellow lines for 150/200 HIDPI renders.
The 1.5x or 2x in the Export Persona seems to scale the pixel density, which ruins most pink/yellow lines export are they are now 1.5 or 2 pixels wide instead of one...
I'm wondering if anyone has found a good workflow to export theses using Affinity Designer, for now, I've resorted to using symbols to copy and upscale, and then I manually add pink/yellow lines.
Still, it's time-consuming and I'd rather find some other ways. Gonna keep looking.

Have you tried to ask in the Affinity community? I bet there's a solution to be found there

Nice. I looked into it a while back, and came to the same conclusion as you. Affinity Designer doesn't have scripting yet, so it's a manual process - and the export scaling isn't very configurable.
It is possible to tell Affinity to scale a group in a certain way when scaling manually though, so that pink lines retain a 1 px height or width and attach to a corner. But that still requires a lot of manual work.
To make the knobs I used a lot of AutoHotKey scripting. Not ideal, but does the trick. Maybe it's possible to generalize this process enough to automate some of it too.

Are you on a 4k or retina screen? Maybe there's a preference somewhere that lets you scale the graphics up. Not sure.

For me it was similar small on both Retina and now this 4K screen:
https://mortenhjort.dk/uploads/2021/reaper.png
It's the only strip in all themes that's this slim. Works great on a laptop though, but here its too slim for even Reaper to allow to only show a single strip. If you (or anyone else) knows how to manually edit it, then let me know. Love this theme so don't want to change

I recently switched to from Cubase and Fl to Reaper and I love your theme very much.. Thank you for making it <3 However I changed the color theme to modern white and pink because I have visual problems with black colors on screen..

No plans to add this, as I don't use this feature. Maybe someone else can add it in a way that looks good.

Cool, thanks!
btw, I recently found this well-hidden preference which makes the theme even more FL-like:

Turning it off lets you select and drag items around by their label.

I believe that's a plugin called "Sower", that emulates the pattern sequencer from FL Studio.

Ha, nice. That looks pretty cool!
Mind if I put it into the next version? Might explore editing it a bit. Maybe find a way to get the "guitar pick" shape in there.

First off, let me just say thank you so much for this theme, it's my favourite Reaper theme by miles! Really wonderful work Mordi!
I got really inspired by what theFRXST did, so I decided to take my own shot at the FL-Reaper logo. Everything made completely from scratch, using the Reaper and FL logos only as reference.
Feel free to use it if you want!

that's nice!
FL studio also have names above meters in the mixer.
imho all the buttons and knobs should spread above and below as well (just like in FLstudio)
