I need help configuring new soundcard with MIC interface

I just got a new computer and it has all new parts including a new AMD High Definition Sound Card.

I have a Behringer UPHORIA-UMC22 MIC interface.

In the ASIO configuration I have been using USB Audio CODEC.

Now, there is also a choice for my sound card.

These are the kinds of things that I know nothing about. I would be grateful if someone would be willing to say log online with me to see first hand what I have going on and help me get things working again.

When I arm a track for recording I get just intermittent sound that goes one / off / on / off, etc.

It could have a lot to do with buffer size settings and all of that but I would rather have someone who knows what they are doing to help me get through this!
