Default ......Thought it might be

a corrupt project file but all old ones I've tried open the same. I've also updated to V 5.90 but notation still the same. Praps it's a subtle hint to think outside the box(es)?

Have you perhaps selected "Martian" in prefs?

Looks like a great arrangement, though!

Looks like you're missing the notation font. Except other projects display correctly? Weird.

Certainly looks like its from another planet.

In case I wasn't clear none of the projects I've tried shows notation .

Thanks. I've looked at the other thread now and found I hope the right file (reavura.otf?) and get the same as Mr PC did ie not a valid font file. The date modified says 17/5/2016 so it's not a recent change. The os win10 pro hasn't been updated in years either

Same problem on portable installation on my laptop here (win10). And on the same computer, regular installation works just fine...

We are not alone!! Holst was just a messenger. Could it be the Borg - it's their style?

Probably notation font is broken. Try to install last version over this one.

Have tried reinstalling the font file - The other thread linked by expander (https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=176966) above suggests it's a windows issue and maybe something to do with en/dis-abling firewalls but no joy yet. I do remember turning win defender and Zone alarm off some time ago and this problem might stem from then. Mostly I use an external notation program so I may only just have noticed it.

Default Would you believe it

I think Gustav is working through me! The Red Regions are indeed Mars and the purple Jupiter. Thinking outside the box indeed....I just have to get out of the way for Planets II.
