Xils 3 LE 2.0.3 FX not responding to MIDI input

Xils 3 LE 2.0.3 (latest) FX version x64 does not receive MIDI in Reaper 5 x64 (Windows 10). The older 2.0.2 LE FX x64 version works ok.

The newer 2.0.3 works ok in Cubase AI 9 though so maybe is a Reaper specific issue?

All of the non FX versions still work ok.

Anyway, I reported to Xils via their online support form but thought I would check here since a google search did not find anyone else with this problem and I thought it was a bit weird since have never had a VST that just wouldn’t respond to MIDI and maybe there is a workaround? (although I did play with all the compatibility settings I could find but to no avail!)
