ABB's - Reaper scripts showcase
So I've been talking to a lot of Reaper and non-Reaper users in the last few months and I realized how few people know what awesome work you fantastic scripters have done. Many people don't even know what's possible, so they never think to look.
And on top of all that... many scripts are poorly described in Reapack or not in Reapack at all.
So I set out to try and create something that can inform newbies and non-users what Reaper is capable of:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Reaper Script Showcase
This is a media heavy site, so be aware.
edit 15/08/17: I have drastically reduced the bandwidth necessary, but it's still media heavy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've gone through and tried to find some scripts that simply show off the power of Reaper and its scripting environment. This doesn't mean I think these are the only good scripts. These are just some scripts that I know of which quickly demonstrate how capable you scripters and Reaper are.
Let me know of I've missed anything great, made some mistakes or if you have suggestions.
Hopefully this can be a resource that can catapult people in to the awesome world of ReaScript's possibilities.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 1.0 - 22nd of August, 2017. First release.

A very nice initiative ! Taking time to showcase other users works is very kind of you. ReaScript and scriptes could indeed deserve a bit more of love :P highly appreciated !

Super nice work Randolph! Thank you so much for the generosity. You are absolutely right. I think that we tend to use and to build upon what we need more often but being exposed and clarified about some scripts helps a lot for sure.

Great idea! And thanks for including my effort I really need to do a better video though - that one's a little outdated.
I need to check out some of the other scripts too.

Yes, I want to try and have very short videos for each script, but yours was very difficult for me to come up with something <30 seconds that showed it off well.
If you do come up with a new video, or if you have any ideas of ways that I can quickly show off your script; please let me know.

My e-mail is at the bottom of my website. Feel free to shoot one over.
My PMs are on. I'm not sure why that isn't working for you.

I appreciate the offer, but I don't need much assistance with graphics.

Very nice! In case you want to evolve it I suggest to add for each section a short list of script that can be valid alternatives or that can be used in context with the showcased script.
For example in the Quantization area you might mention: drum_to_midi.lua (as it can be used before quantizing), spk77_quantize_items_to_grid_using_snap_offset.eel *as ab alternative) and potentially also the SWS/AW: fill gaps between selected items (advanced) as it is usually the last step of media item quantization, to fill empty spaces created
just my 2 cents

I think that is a cool idea, but it would be a lot of work to keep up with all the potential options and smaller scripts.
My hope is that by seeing these scripts that are easy to appreciate, some users will go out on their own to explore github/reapack/forum resources and find more on their own.
There is a delicate balance for me between offering good information, and overwhelming myself and not wanting to work on it at all.

V cool stuff thanks for putting together! some I'd not tinkered with there...
Just as an FYI and will leave it up to you & others to decide but my tutorial and vid on super8 (in my Sig) is potentially a bit more in depth regards using it musically/in real life than the one linked, but really no big deal!

Fantastic ! This is an excellent resource. It has me wanting to use some scripts I had seen mentioned in posts but didn't bother to explore.

Hi,
if you have some min spare time, you might want to update the picture about Track-Item Manipulation in your showcase as it has relevant changes. You can just take it from the thread where it is updated (take the right most of first post).

Thank you. I'm keeping an eye on it, but that's more than an image.. it's a short video.
Do you expect any more GUI changes in the near future? I'd like to keep page updates to a minimum since I have many people that get RSS notifications for that.

Hi, thank you!!
I mean this image here attached (so no need to go to the actual thread anymore).
There shouldn't be further big changes.

Ok
If there's any more major changes then I don't mind redoing the video, but for small things it becomes a bit tedious.
I check the script thread a couple times a week.
