Indeed.
I was never a fan of using any other DAW-inspired theme in Reaper before because it seemed to me as if you're having sex with one girl but fancying another.
However, this theme feels very independent and has a soul of its own. It really does deserve a Protools-less name.

Cheers, Albert, and thank you once again.

At this point I don't see anything remotely resembling pro tools. And that's a good thing IMO.

It was a test. There is no file. Latest was alpha 2.

Usually within 24hrs. But it will still be alpha 2 as what we are seeing now is a WIP.

I'm still using version 2 in current projects. You should ask for that also as it has track shading/color tracks when set up uses the F keys. Very quick. Then again maybe you don't need that but when I have large track counts it helps.

Hi Albertxxxx

thanx for great Theme!
I sent a donation, tried to send a message in here but no luck hope to use the theme soon, I find the Reaper ones a bit clunky and not good looking at all, so you have breathed a sign of hope for me
Thanx!

Hi Albertxxx, I got your latest version and I believe it is a great job!!

Here are some issue I found
- on BUS tracks (or folders track), on MCP sometimes I have to click BELOW the Solo button to get it to work. There is a little misalignment on the mouse arrow
- When Record Mote: Time Selection Auto Punch is selected from right click over record button, the button becomes dark and half pressed. It doesn't seem a wanted graphic behavior
- I really really need to get the ability to see the peak level numbers on each track in MCP. For my workflow it's crucial, while it doesn't seem to be possible in your theme

This theme is very appealing. One of the best!
Are the db values +6(max) & -60, -61 or -62(min)?
I can get -6 and -12 lined up corrected, but it drifts the lower the volume gets. I tested this with "JS Tone Generator"

Hi great job

Anyway I´d like to see some thiner mixer layouts, I find the mixer a bit big even in my screen at 1920 x 1080. Faders are too big to may taste and tracks are too wide.
But as you said it´s an evolving theme so I´m very possitive about it

Keep the good job!

Albert, this is looking very nice. I am anxious to see where you go with additional layouts and such.

There is something that is making my OCD go off the charts every time I look at these screenshots.

It is this:

Is there any way you can fix this so that the borders are a consistent width and height? This is driving me batty.

This is looking fantastic though, I must say.

Oh, also, you should have a contest to change the name, or just change the name to something more fitting. I don't get or see any link to anything protools here.

Hi Albert,

Have you seen the thread in the General section about people posting screen shots of their unlicensed Reaper installations in this forum? They were talking about you specifically.

I see you have an unlicensed 5.01 RC3.

A question to the guys who donated for themes (like me): Is it right for someone to use an unlicensed copy of Reaper to make money from people (like me) who paid for Reaper?

Thanks

Yes. You have 60 days to evaluate. Then you must pay. If he just updated to 5.01 from 4.99 then he has 60 DAYS to evaluate. Start complaing after 60 days.

FFS! If you were a regular reader you would already know Albert IS a paid up reaper user in his studio.

What he chooses to develop themes with is kinda down to him.

For usage on a development system and for the purpose of testing theme development, that's OK for sure, especially since anyone spending a few minutes here before making these nonsense claims would find Albert is a licensed user.

The idea you seem to think Albert is 'making money off of you, quite honestly, is preposterous and sad. The amount he makes does not even begin to cover the hours he puts in to this project.

I'll gladly refund your donation to Albert myself so he can take you off of the distribution list if it makes you feel any better.

Now go away. >:/

It's very easy to offend the artist, 'tis said.

I remember the other guy with beautiful ILogic theme who stopped making it 'cause of trolls' massive attack in his topic. He renewed making it after several months, but obviously was unfairly offended.

Let's hope that now is not the case.

I did, it's complete and utter BS ..

People with no clue should STFU and let the grown ups talk and get about their business. The whole idea of that thread and IMO your insinuation here is one big trolling campaign and serves no purpose but to try and stir up a non existing issue. The thread you mention has OP start off with "I try not to be a dick". Well guess what .. he is.. and if you are trying to follow his lead IMO so are you.

I was willing to dismiss your initial post here as a knee jerk response, but with this one your attempt to hijack this thread for your devious questionable purpose is just bad form, very bad form.

Here's hoping the mods can clean this mess up.. and quick ..

This is sort of idiotic. Seeing a screenshot with the 'unlicensed version' on the top doesn't necessarily mean shit. The person may have just did a portable install and not bothered to load their license file. Very common, especially for people developing something or for one of the many other reasons out there.

So yeah, stop assuming things and whining. The developers themselves are reasonable enough to give people the benefit of the doubt and treat their users like the honest people most of us are. If it's good enough for them it sure as hell should be good enough for everyone else.

IMO Cockos should be paying Albert to give their users the GUI they deserve.

Please finsish this theme Albert! I'll donate again when the final version is done and bug free.
