It's pretty clear that a lot of work has gone into this. Looks very nice so far.
I agree with Mr. White Tie about posting a WIP too.

Wow. Awesome to say the least. Sci-fi theme is right up my alley and Oblivion is one of my favorite movies. Does the theme work for non 4k monitors?

ShhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhT. This looks amazing!!! Finally something that doesn't make Reaper look/feel like a toy (forgive me all, I honestly don't want to hurt your feelings).

In my 55" 4k TV screen looks so sweet is maddening not having this already
in my hands.

Place a donate button for this. I am salivating sooo bad.

May I suggest finding a way to integrate the colours of the different automation modes in to your MCP and TCP design. Perhaps localized to the area you assign to the automation state display, but perhaps even more.

This is looking mighty interesting. Thank you for sharing.

That IS pretty dark! Sleek look, but I wonder if a liiiiiitle bit more contrast would actually help it more (particularly in the MIDI editor, the white/black key rows could use some more differentiation).

Just a comment

This theme has the same problem as Imperial

The transport bar is WAY TOO LARGE compare to the toolbars

Transport is almost useless in REAPER since we can use keyshortcut or mouse mod to trigger basic transport and navigating task

a lot of space lost ihmo

I have this now as my desktop Wallpaper. I hope you make it 4k compatible. MCP image set as Fit in a 1920 resolution screen, makes this look with what I think the appropriate size of anything on the theme (track size, buttons size, etc).

Why not? I design this on my 15" MBP Retina. It also works well on my 27" iMac 5K

I love BIG transport.

It's big not for the mouse, but for the eyes.

I also rarely interact directly with its buttons. But visually it tells a bunch of information/status about what currently happened, IMHO much more important than toolbars which are just limited to specific actions.

If it takes too much space, just hide it

This is beautiful. A true work of art.

The attached is a full screen image with a project loaded. Everything is HUGE - this is on a 4K display with 100%/1:1 scaling. It's like everything is double the size it should be.

No, it's attached to the main window in that pic. BTW, this is Win10Prox64 ...

Is there another view would like me to grab for you to look at?

What happen if you undock the mixer and make it full screen?

What is the resolution of your monitor?

Thanks

The display is 3840 x 2160 (43")

Here is the undocked mixer enlarged to nearly full screen

For comparison, here is the default mixer the same way

It's an excellent theme, and the scifi vibe is spot on. Any chance of a version scaled down for 1920 wide regular resolutions when it's otherwise finished? Tried this on my Dell Ultrasharp U2412M setup, and there's no way to practically use it even on a dual 1920x1200 display setup as it's so large. But again, it's excellent, also going by the scaled down screenshots.

What REAPER version are you using? Have you enable the HIDPI mode?
Look at this thread
Default_5.0_@2x Reaper Theme for HiDPI screens.
It is the Default_5.0 theme @2x. Which use the same experimental method as METRIC.

I have a Window machine with 1980x1200 screen at Stu. I have not tested yet.

I could only tried on WineBottler which apparently not supporting HIDPI mode. But even in a humongous scaling i could tell without choosing the HIDPI mode on REAPER the scaling is way off but similar to your screenshot.

I see no difference between HiDPI unaware vs aware.

I'm using V 5.52

After looking thru that thread I don't know any more about 2X or HiDPI than I did before.
