Default Reaper icon folder doesn't open

Hello
I can't set track icons anymore.
I click ' Track Icon' and get a Media File folder with nothing in it.
Solution ?

Windows 7 Pro

Are you in the correct folder?

By default Track Icons are located here: Reaper resource folder**/Data/track_icons
** accessible via Options > Show REAPER resource path ...

Otherwise check if the file type filter box at the bottom right of the Track Icon loading window is set to [All supported images].

Thanks for that, solger.
In the past selecting ' set track icon ' has opened the correct ' track-icon ' folder automatically. Why that should have stopped happening I cannot say.
Anyway- I navigated to the folder, as you suggested, opened the icon I wanted and now the correct track-icon folder appears automatically again. Thanks.

Ah- Upon inspection there are icons missing. I have only 43 in the folder.

Ah- that's in the 64-bit version. I've got 92 icons in the 32-bit version.
Any way to install more into the 64-bit ?

Copy & paste? I've got 100's of my own icons in my folder. I just find an image I like, crop as needed and place in folder. East-peezy.

Hello again- more problems for me with track icons. They won't load.

I've got the correct path, set to ' all supported files ', select icon, click ' open'.................no icon appears. It's a minor bug and I can work without them- but they are very useful and I'd like to solve it.

Not sure if this is your problem, but do you know that there's an option to either "show" or "do not show" icons in the mixer?

No- I didn't know that. I've certainly not checked it one way or the other. Where will I find it, please ? It isn't immediately evident.

It's possible to toggle the Track Icon visibility in the Mixer, for instance, via the Show track icons in mixer option in the Right-Click menu (of the Mixer Tab or the empty Mixer area).
Or via the corresponding Action in the Action List: Mixer: Toggle show track icons in mixer

Hello, this is my first post and I thought I would post this here despite it being an old thread as it is relevant, I hope that is okay.

I have added new images to C:\Program Files\REAPER (x64)\InstallData\Data\track_icons but they will not show up in Reaper. All the icons Reaper comes with show up but anything I put in there does not. Even if you do not need to I have made sure they are 64x64 and a png file to suit the existing ones. The folder was read-only but I changed that and it let me put the new icons in the above-mentioned folder, but as I said Reaper does not show them.

Has anyone encountered this before or may know what the issue might be? Thank you in advance.

That's the wrong folder, its just a deposit of the files that get installed with Reaper. You want your folder, which you will find by going (in Reaper) Options > > Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder.

I would have never figured that out on my own, thank you very much for your help.
