Default Vertically center "used notes only" in drum roll?

I like to keep drums down to few notes for drums, so that it's fast and easy to do the usual suspects. But, I like to keep piano roll full screen, for when I'm working with all notes and skipping to other instruments and stuff. So, when I go "used notes only" they get all bunched up near the top which is kind of awkward. If there was a way to scroll them, or just have them default to being vertically centered, that would be amazing.

Does the action "View: Zoom to content" help in any way?

You could create a "short midi editor' version of your default window screenset then make a custom cycle action to toggle between two states, the first with show all rows and full size ME screenset, the second with hide unused rows, zoom to content and narrow ME. You could optionally include a triangles/diamonds toggle in this action if you preferred that view. Then just use this action instead of the 'hide unused and unnamed notes' toggle.

Edit: Or just two separate (non-cycle) custom actions if you don't need to toggle.

Agree with pcp. I use diamonds every time. Much easier to work with. No really huge notes or tiny ones.

Sorry, I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but it really sounds interesting.
