We resurrected the old band from the late 1970's and we now rehearse and record. I mix and fix in Reaper, of course, and this is the latest from us.



I've shared the audio here before, but now there's also a video type of thing. The title literately means "F***ing world!"

Not sure what sort of feedback you are looking for this late in the production, but a small nit that I have is that on the first listen through I was feeling like the vocals weren't quite sitting as they should and I was thinking that maybe there wasn't enough body to them, so they were a bit floaty. Interestingly, on my second listen through, I got less of that sensation so maybe I was getting accustomed to them, but this time I was feeling like there was a bit of harshness in the upper mids there. Putting both thoughts together, I am thinking that pulling back a little bit on whatever distortion/saturation/etc is happening with the vocals a little or maybe leaving it as strong but filtering the top end a little bit would drop them in perfectly.

Doesn't prevent me from appreciating the song, the performance, the mix and the production though. Great stuff man. I'll definitely be back for more listens.

Yeah, we are done with this version now, but I'll take the time to play around with it again and try what you suggest to see if I can improve it. Even if it does not lead to any change in this particular track, I can hopefully improve for the next mix.

Well I'm no expert, just offering an observation based on my own ears and perception and you may not hear what I'm hearing. Have a listen first and simply disregard what I'm saying if you don't agree of course.
