Default Sound but no signal

I'm using a scarlett 2i2. Something disrupted my drivers or defaulted the settings in Reaper after a recent windows update. Now when I set up a track to record, Reaper doeant recognize the signal from the scarlett, however I am hearing audio from my speakers and headphones. When I arm the track and record, the item is just empty. I never changed anything in the device preferences. What should I be looking at to get a signal from the scarlett to tecord?

What are your Audio Device settings? Options->Preferences->Audio->Device?

Windows update will have set your mic input disabled...check in privacy settings.

All the troubleshooting I've read either points to mic permissions or audio preferences. I included screenshots of each screen, including the track routing. Still having the issue with one new observation. The Audio Device info in the top right shows WAV and ASIO. Not sure if that is correct but I've never noticed it before.

I believe as well as the per program mic privacy setting you may need to set a global one for the computer??

Also just to check the basics, both your tracks are set to input 2...is that where you plugged whatever it is you're recording into?

Not familiar with a global mic setting. The windows mic is all I found.
