Default Getting REAPER and Reason to Harmonize

Hello:

I'm currently working on having my first in home music studio, with the software being reaper and reason and have been having some problems with getting then to work together. First my computer, it is an Hp running 32 bit Reaper, and reason 6. The goal was to be able to do all my recording in Reaper and create anything else I needed in Reason then transfer my Reason files to Reaper for finishing touches. I record in Reason using a Behringer C1 mic attached to a USB mixer (Xenyx). All sounds great once I set up the preferences on my driver (ASIO) and in Reason, the sound comes from my monitors which are plugged into my computer. Secondly, I use a USB midi controller Korg microkey as my control surface in Reason. Which also worked fine when set up and used separately. The problem is that when I set up all my equipment and have the two software running side by side. No sound comes from the keyboard. The mic still works fine though. If anyone understand this problem could I get some assistance? Also, this is probably a dumb question, but would simply rewiring Reason into Reaper solve all my problems here? I'll be happy to provide any more necessary details, and thank you so much.

Rewire is the way and should take care of your keyboard problem.

Search the forum if you need more information on rewiring Reaper and Reason. There are several threads covering this topic.
