Thanks folks.
@Blankfiles I hear you on the size thing. The tcp minimum size is 29x which is a bit big compared to the standard. But I really wanted the idx/mute button to be big and bold and it's a bit of a trade off. My thinking is most people use higher dpi displays now so the size would be less of an issue than were we back in 2010. I wanted to go for space and clarity rather than squashing everything in there. Folder collapsing can mediate high track counts too. But this is really a theme for 1080p and up.
That said, I'm not against making things a bit smaller if its needed. I'll put out a beta down the line for testing.
PS, big fan of you work!

I have some ideas to make this theme even better/ user friendly but I'm looking for someone to collaborate with who can script using LUA.
Anyone interested?

I've been working on this a lot, but mostly just cleaning up image files and streamlining the resource usage for the layouts. I've added the feature of having visual feedback for track mutes - track dimming on mute.
Behaviour in TCP:
And in MCP:
PS. Licecap captures aren't too smooth, it looks much better irl.

I've been lurking, thinking nothing could tear me away from Alebertxxxx themes - yet I'm so impressed with what you're doing and can't wait to use it when ready.
Thank you for the hard work; well done.

That's quite neat, but I wouldn't mind another indicator for mute in the MCP as well. It looks great in TCP, but in MCP the separation between muted and not mutes is perhaps not that clear.

Yeah maybe it could be darker. There'll also be indicators on the meters though.

Right, I noticed the M now on the meter, maybe just add some colour to it?
Looking very much forward to this theme, shaping up to be a real hallmark!

Oh, I haven't gotten around to such small details as that yet! They'll be colored for sure.
Cheers. I'm feeling good about it. It has a nice vibe to it, I'm working on it quite a lot to tighten bits and pieces up. I use transparency of elements a LOT, so there's tons of little tweaks that you'd barely notice, outside of the features, that do add a lot. Like in mixing, it's the tiny things that work in the whole, rather than broad strokes. A load of balancing contrast and slickness, and that type of stuff. I've gone back and redone stuff many times over...
So it's nice to hear folks like it!

pinksoir, have you thought about selling your theme or go the patreon route? i think a lot of us would happily pay for such an advanced theme.

Hey!
I have thought about it, but I think one of the great things about Reaper is the fact that the majority of its themes are provided for free. I think this is very important and fosters the general spirit of this fantastic community. Also, no theme is created in isolation and so much of every theme is indebted to those created before (not to mention the mockup this theme was inspired by). I understand why some do charge for their efforts and this theme is proving to be a LOT of work (I'm currently spending a lot of time on it - ~6-8 hours a day).
That said, I am currently unemployed and about to start a master's course next week (during which I will not be able to work), so any financial help would be amazing and massively appreciated.
Maybe when it's done I will provide a donate/Patreon link. I would, however, not keep the theme behind a paywall as I want it available to all for free. But if you like it and use it, I'd happily accept a 'beer' in return!
Thanks everyone for the encouragement!

2) Draggable and reactive pan and width ribbons - the pan display has reactive arrows showing you how much L or R you're panning. The intensity of the color of the arrows highers or lowers depending on degree of pan. The width box widens or narrows depending on the width setting. Visual feedback at a glance is what this is about.
Still to be done is dimming of the whole track background when muted. There'll be big meter layouts too. Quite a bit of work still to do but it's fun coming up with new ways to do things...

Will we be able to adjust the volume on minimized tracks? In the above gif that would be the tracks "Juno L" and "Juno R".

I'm working on the Transport and Items at the moment. Going OK!
@ SoulOne82: No you can't adjust volume at minimal height. But I'm probably going to create a layout with a horizontal fader.

Well, the transport you see there is the one I designed to be placed in a toolbar docker. So you can have toolbars to the left and/or right and it all blends seamlessly. (The problem with docked toolbars is they inherit the main background color of the theme, which is a pain - I'd love to be able to color them independently)
I'll do another one for a standard docked transport which'll have its own color and work with subtle depth as per the rest of the theme. Still working on all of it but it's going to remain minimal!

Cool... would be great to have a layout with play controls left aligned and the display central if you not already working on it

Thanks everyone, glad you're liking it.
@ krahosk: no, no replies yet to the request I put in the script request sticky unfortunately
@ Edisol: that would be very easy to implement, so yes, it's a distinct possibility!
@lucas_LCS: thanks, I'm a fan of what you've done with your theme editing.
