Steals cpu when quiet

I have a strange problem with Ninjam.
When playing, no problem. I can do something else while I am playing without slowdown.
But when I'm not playing (where the noise gate closes), after a few seconds, jesusonic goes stealing 100% cpu. When I close it, everything is going fast again.

My chain is Noise Gate > 4 parametric eq's > 2 amp-models.

I am using a sblive, and kx-drivers on a p4 2ghz\512 mb rdram on winslows xp.

Any solutions?
