Load Track Template to existing track?

Hi, I am trying to figure out if there is a way to load a track template without inserting a track. So imagine you have a track called Kick and you want to apply a track template to the existing Kick track so that the track is set up with FX, routing, etc, that you usually apply to a kick track.

take a look at this wonderful script "Quick Adder 2" by Neutronic.

It can either apply TrackTemplate to an existing track or add it as a new track, but offers also ton of other great features
