Default Is there a simple way to render audio to multiple channels?

Hi,

I am recording drums with a drummer playing an electronic kit triggering Superior Drummer 3.

I have routed the SD3 tracks to individual tracks in Reaper, but how do I render audio to these tracks directly? Right now I only know how to render multichannel audio to the SD3 track but then it is really cumbersome to separate each single stereo channel and copy the content to each pre-existing track.

Isn't there a way to render audio directly to each individual track?

.wav as usual, I just want the MIDI rendered to audio in the dedicated tracks I have prepared for each drum track.

Select the individual tracks, right click one of them, render. (???)

There's nothing in the individual tracks, I want to render the midi file that is on the Superior Drummer track to individual audio files in each individual track, without having to render a multichannel audio file that I then have to separate into 12+ stereo tracks.

I know it seems strange to render tracks that look blank, but if they’re receiving and passing a signal, then rendering will work fine. Seriously just try it. Select the individual tracks and render. It does what you want.

Do you have individual audio outputs for the different kit pieces?

I didn't know this before ashcat, but you're right. It creates another track for the rendered audio but that's okay.

Indeed, that sounds very simple but I hadn't thought of it, thanks.

Build multi-routing for output of selected fx in the fx chain file menu OR CTR+ALT+R
