Maybe they are at the end of the working year and they are a bit tired. I slow down too at the end of every working year.

Around here, the working year pretty much ends before the summer vacation starts, and starts anew when returning to work. It's summer vacation season right now, so depending on when one has scheduled their vacations to happen, one can be either at the very end or beginning of a working year.

The original report is about stretching, right?
This is a side effect of changing the automation item minimum length. Because items can now get very short, the maximum stretch rate needs to increase (or, really, we can just remove the maximum). Fix coming shortly.
As for development pace, it's summer!

Nope. It's not the underlying envelope which is revealed but a new one. If you delete the item, you will be able to see the real underlying envelope.

Otherwise, on my computer, "AI connect to the underlying envelope on the right" is ON. So, why the point envelope which is on the right edge of my AI doesn't start at the right place ?

Another display issue?
Added 3 toolbar buttons for the 'Automation items connect to the underlying envelope' options, the buttons highlight when the option is on and dark when option is off, but they do not update when clicked, if I open and close say the Mixer window then the buttons are updated.

FR: ability to mute automation items to temporarily disable them. Very useful for quick A/B comparison. If this was implemented then it would be nice if the action "Item properties: Toggle items/tracks mute (depending on focus)" was extended to apply to automation items too. Thanks!

Bug: splitting a looped automation item doesn't properly separate the resulting AIs

And in a few years nobody understands the old threads anymore because those links won't work. How often I stumbled upon threads with image shack links - dead. Impossible to know what the hell they talked about back then.

That's actually not a bug. The two halves of the automation item after splitting are pooled. In your case there is only one point in the automation item, so editing that point in one half causes the other half to visibly change as well. If there were more envelope points, you wouldn't notice it.
Like with media items, the two halves are also trimmed, so extending the right edge of the left-hand split will reveal the original automation data, etc.

Devs, are you still thinking about what we discussed a few betas ago regarding media and automation items selection? Sorry for asking about this once again but it really worries me because the current behavior is a real problem, I can't count how many times I have selected automation items while trying to select media items. It would be really nice to have a word on this from you, guys. Please.

Thanks for continuing to focus on this. There will be some changes in this behavior for the next build. Which will be in a day or two -- we're on semi-vacation this week.
