Right clicking takes no longer opens context menu
Hi all!
Tonight I'm experiencing a weird issue (perhaps related to latest Mac OS update?) where right clicking/two finger tapping (or ctrl-clicking) no longer opens a context menu for take editing. Just displays a small square box next to cursor.
Any idea what might be causing this behaviour? Very annoying since that's the only way I know how to edit takes...
Thanks!

To clarify, I want to see the Item menu when right clicking... at the moment I have to use the Item menu from top menu list... not practical

Try this:
1) Open Options > Customize menus/toolbars
2) Select [Media item context] at the top
3) Check if there are any entries shown in the left panel
And are all right-click context menus not working anymore? Or just the one for Items?

There are, looks normal... dunno why it's not working
just reset menus and toolbars from that menu, no effect... right click works on all other buttons
on another note, perhaps related, I can't seem to edit midi recordings - a blank window opens when I double click a midi item

Have you already tried to restart Reaper after resetting the menus?
Otherwise make a portable Reaper install to a separate folder (as seen in the video link) and check if it's working there. Just to rule out if it might be a Reaper configuration related problem ...

Not sure if this might be related to your problem, but another user had a right-click problem which seemed to be caused by the SWS extensions - for whatever reason (see post #22): https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=199586

OK, Great
I'm just curious: is it still working after doing a fresh install of the SWS Extension?

Updating to the latest SWS should fix this, there was a change in macOS 10.13 which broke older versions of SWS.
