Default 'Auto-detect number of processing threads' crashes Reaper with MBP i5

Hi all,

This is my first post here. I am a fervent - and registered - Reaper user, which convinced me already back in the time of version 2.

For several months, Reaper 4 (both 32- and 64-bit versions) has been starting to crash on me regularly when touching FX-related things, either opening an existing insert or simply calling the FX browser.

I went into the Preferences and noticed that the 'Auto-detect number of processing threads' was enabled and set to 4. I have a Macbook Pro early 11 with an dual core i5 (http://ark.intel.com/products/53449), and the number of available threads is indeed 4. I tried to deactivate the setting and set it manually to 2 threads --> crashes gone (for the most)!

I was on 10.6 for most of the time, but updating to 10.8 recently didn't change the issue.

Am I the only one with this problem? I could try to upload a log file if that can help.

Cheers,
Kvent
