Batch rendering a large amount of reaper projects
Hi!
Over the past 10 or so years I've accrued over 300 individual reaper projects on my machine. These are mostly old demos that I've done.
These projects probably span 3 versions of reaper (4.x,5.x,6.x)
I'd love to be able to render them all down to individual mp3s so I can review/arrange all of the ideas.
After a cursory search of the forum shows there are 3 paths I could here:
Manually opening each project and rendering them. Obviously time consuming and not ideal
I've seen talk of being able to kick off a render from the CMD line using the -renderproject flag. I've not had success with this so far. When I tried this reaper opens and crashes before the rendering starts. I suspect this might be due to a version mismatch but I'n not sure
I'm aware of reapers rendering queue, but I'm not keen on the amount of time it would take to open 300+ projects add add all of them manually (same problem as option 1).
I know that reaper stores the queued projects in a directory and that the queue files are a basically normal RPP files with some added lines.
I can write a script to create a queue file for every RPP I have but this is my last choice.
Is anyone aware of something that would help me here?
Thanks.
