Default render hangs partway through album

Mac M1 Big Sur 11.2.3, running Reaper Intel 6.26. Rendering an album by regions. Render beachballs at various points. Generally halts at the beginning of a region, but not always. If I go back and Region Manager select remaining regions, they render fine. Occasionally, it will render all the way through.

Logs I can look at? Things to try?

Just rendered all 13, then beachballed at the start of the first one, then rendered all 13.

Default Inspirata Lite is the culprit

Found it. I was using the amazing free convolution reverb Inspirata Lite. Replace it with any other reverb, and everything renders fine. Both VST3 and AU are a problem.

Made a test project, 1 hour long audio file, Inspirata as a send effect on a second track. No other processing. Marked out 150 very short regions. Renders using Bounds: Entire project, no problem. If I switch to Bounds: Project regions, rendering reliably beachballs. Hasn't yet made it to region 25. Bypass or replace Inspirata and it renders all regions.

Playback is always fine. I've spent hours in the project that turned this up, nor problems. Something to do with file writing?

I'll be talking to them, too, but how can a specific plug-in halt rendering, why is rendering regions a factor, and why is it random? Any plug-in settings I can change? I frikkin love this reverb.

Maybe you need to render real-time. Some plugins don't work well with faster than real-time rendering. You set real-time rendering on the render dialog, there is a drop-down list there.

That's a thought. I will test. However, it works perfectly well if I don't render by regions.

Just posted in the bug report forum.

Tried on-line real time. Locked up on the 12th of 13.

Default apparently fixed

As of version 1.0.23 of Inspirata Lite, the issue appears resolved.
