This one broke the 10k character limit. Made with X-Rayms BBCode script at https://codepen.io/X-Raym/full/ggPogG

Download to get the anti-virus kids to whine early and not to anyone downloading this off the main site on September 15th.

Great job guys, devs and all testers!

Note: First time v5.50 users might notice saved AIs will not be listed in the AI context menu until Reaper is exited and restarted.

As ginormous as the change log is, it's a subset when you consider everything that went into the first "automation item" listed in the change log.

Really impressive! Kudos to everyone! Six months is quite reasonable given the scope of the stuff we see, and the refactoring we didn't see to make this possible.

Again, kudos to everyone! A fine example of teamwork by all!

I'm not getting that crash here.

I am getting a bug with AI's. The action "Envelope: Insert 4 points at time selection" will not execute if the time selection in before an AI. If the time selection is after the AI it will work, but not if the time selection is ahead.

cheers

Looking like we may update the build before release, as a few regressions have come up that we might as well fix. Stay tuned!

there was also the regression with (and I have mentioned this before a few times)

Envelopes: Move selected points down a little bit
Envelopes: Move selected points up a little bit

they used to do 1dB increments. now it's -0.28 or +0.78 on volume envelopes

It breaks custom actions like this one

Custom: JT: -2dB selected envelope section
SWS/BR: Select envelope at mouse cursor
Envelope: Insert 4 envelope points at time selection
Envelopes: Move selected points down a little bit
Envelopes: Move selected points down a little bit

It shouldn't be anything that affects saved projects. Just fixes for the bug reports in this thread and the rc23 thread.

5.50a is up, this will eventually end up on the main web site as "5.50" (though the download filename/executable will say 5.50a to avoid any ambiguity).

Thank you, Justin!

v5.50a - September 16 2017
+ Automation: fix combining of trim/main volume envelope with different scales
# Automation items: ensure item edge points are square-shaped for mute envelopes
# Envelopes: fix insert 4 env points before an AI [p=1885418]
# Envelopes: fix possible crash when clearing envelope from envcp
# linux: improve Python auto-detection

@airon : Can you please add these changes to first post? I don't think we should open new thread now that we're so close to final release
