Thanks Albert! Looking nice! I like the gradient on the meters, I'll manage something of this kind! let's be patient, style is the next step!

I'm not personally a fan of those gradients.

It looks okay on the knobs, but it's just a distraction on the metering section, and the shadow is all in the wrong place for the faders. Light doesn't work that way, so if you want a bit of depth and shadow I think it makes sense to anchor that in reality, at least superficially.

I got API plugins, API channel strips in my rack, and your themes to complete the ensemble! Thanks, and keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the new one...

I love it. I would pay for both flat and 3d versions. I use API gear and this would be excellent! Can't wait...

Pyerbass,
I like the workflow that you have layed out. I think that this is a good improvement over the last version.

I see one knob on the VCA tracks. I do personally enjoy a long fader for VCA's so that I have greater control over signal. What's your reasoning behind the single knob? Please explain your preference - in case I need to be converted!

Hi jpanderson

I started a vca layout with a strechable fader, maybe I'll get back to this solution if it makes more sense at the end.

The reason why I went for the knob solution is the role of the vca: it adds a layer of controls over some other tracks. so the knob was a nice solution to set the amoung of control of the vca. Faders are nice when you need to compare different levels.

The theme looks good.

I have one small question; I see others of similar style and are calling them analog, what makes them analog.

Because the design is based on an analogue mixing desk.

Pyerbass,
Nice work. I hope you're enjoying your creation.
I'm assuming that since you're into the graphics portion of the work, that you've ironed out all the signal flow thinking.

Hi jpanderson.

Thanks Yes you can see on the previous preview how the signal flow is gonna be. Well it might change along the way with user's comments but I think it's a good start for drawing.

I am familiar with 3d modeling but I never made an GUI with it, there is almost no online tutorial on 3d GUI design. At this point I have no idea how to convert the 3d model into animated pngs... lol. Hopefully I'll find a way

Got my eye on this one.
Not too simple and not too complex.
Just one look was all it took.

Pyer has been working on this for over two years. And I can add that that work has included more than making things look pretty. There's been a lot of intentional thought put into the workflow and signal path. Just notice the picture of the hand written notes. Those ideas are very interesting and welcome (in my opinion) in this day and age of "pretty" GUI's.

As someone who uses Pyer's API theme exclusively, I've been excited about this as well.

That being all said... dang it sure is pretty.

I'd like a donate link.
No pressure or hurry.
Just want to thank the person immediately and show appreciation for such elegant simplicity.

CiaoMein

Hi guys,
Many thanks for your support it's really heart warming!

Donations would not help.... time would

All I need to finish this theme is 27 hours in a day

I started theming when I was a design student, now that I'm in real life, I have less time for side projects, but I still want it to be a labour of love, so I spent a few sessions of work here and there when I can, and I really want it to be good, so consider that it will come up one day, and I hope it will be better than Chinese Democracy

This was indeed a beautiful theme. I thought it was flat 2D at first when he was working on it. The 3D is amazing. I would have hoped for a 2D one too..

I love the look of this. I love the flat look as well. And the color is kinda washed. I hope that will stay a option. I would rock this just as is

Hi Guys,
as always, the project is sleeping when I have too much work...
The next step on the agenda is to have a working beta version of the flat theme, it will be easier to define the layout. Then, hopefully I will go for the 3d renders.

But don't worry I will try to keep it clean in 3d
