Global Startup Action for opening a project when Reaper is already open ?

When I double click on a project file (*.rpp), Reaper opens and runs SWS/S&M: Set global startup action and the assosicated custom action. However when I have Reaper open and open the project it doesn't seem to run. Is there a way to have a global action run when Reaper is already open and opening projects ?

Thanks for a small ray of hope. I don't want to have to close Reaper every time I want to open a new project just to get global actions to run.

I hear ya! That's why I always use project startup. But of course, it has to be set up everytime for projects that haven't been set up that way...
