Default Does anyone know what this is (lol)?

Hi all! Total n00b here - I'm 3 weeks into Reaper, coming from various other DAWs over the last (gulp) 20 years. Having a ball!

Today I managed to get this indicator (see attached pic) to appear on one of my Items - right at the loop boundary. I've never seen it before, and can't reproduce how it got there (no other Items have ever had it). I'm talking about the vertical line with the '< >' (I highlighted it in red). I actually really like it, as it makes the loop boundary more obvious than normal, but...what is it?

Cheers!

cue markers.
when you render a file, you can include regions and markers info in the audio file and they are displayed like that.

also, check this action: View: Toggle show media cues in items

Welcome to REAPER!

AHA! Thank you for this.

I didn't actually render this file - I dragged it in from a media manager (BaseHead). As it turns out, marker info is embedded in the metadata, but my other DAWs just couldn't show it. Thanks again - I would never have figured that out

Cheers!
