Is there a way to side-by-side dock?

Say a person wanted to dock two panes side by side like a classic video editing workflow with screen divided into three: the arranger on the bottom half of the screen, and then the top half split into video and media bay or mixer or some other such third window.

Currently, I can't get it to do anything like that, but perhaps someone around here knows a solution?

Try holding CTRL (on Windows) while dragging a window into the docker. Also try to double-click on the edge where the top and side dockers meet.

Be aware that it is not possible to dock two windows side by side in any of dockers on sides, only in the top and the bottom one.

Samplitude or Cakewalk are capable of that.
Reaper really needs a general rethinking on its GUI.
