Default system administrator rights issue

Hi guys. I've been running Reaper now for several years already, very sweet program, usually no problems whatever I want to do with it. Yesterday this changed in a way that the program don't allow me to anymore save anything. Also it doesn't let me render anything out of the program. Only this box shows up that says "you have no rights to save to this location (any location that I try) ... get the permission from system administrator." The same box shows up when I run the program as a systems administrator and try to save anything. Such a weird thing! A month ago (last time a worked with Reaper) everything was running smoothly. I don't recall doing anything special with my computer here in the between, installing special programs etc. Any ideas what's going on? Thanks already for any ideas.

Hannes

Ps. yes... I tried to install the program again ....no didn't do anything ...
