Default Potential bug I found with a limiter on the master bus

I had a limiter on the master bus, but I also had a loud sound from one specific track that was dominating and causing the limiter to kind of reduce the other sounds, so I tried putting the same limiter directly on the offending track, but it made no difference, I was still getting the +7 or so db on the track and it seemed like it was only being affected by the master limiter and not the one just added directly to the track.

The only way I got around it was by adding a new track with only an instance of the limiter on it, and routing the offending track to that. Reaper didn't want to accommodate the limiter directly in the fx chain of the offending track.

Hmmm.... strange, indeed.

When you put the limiter on "the offending track", what was that track's fader set to? If it was less than zero, then there must be something funky with your limiter settings. What limiter were you using?
