Oui certe mais pour le layering ca n'est pas forcemement necessaire. Le but est de grossir le son du kick original qui lui a des fluctuqtions

Plutôt que le faire à la main on doit également utiliser la piste originale pour moduler les autres couches de façon dynamique. Il suffit de se repemcher sur les autres tuto de Reno et je suis sûr qu'on peut adapter une de ses techniques pour ça.
J'essayerais d'y jeter un coup d'oeil ce week-end.

oui bien sur, on peut envoyer le kick original dans le channel 3-4 du layer, placer un reacomp (ou un autre plug qui à un potard de gain) et faire moduler ce gain en utilsant le signal audio du kick 1

il faut aussi considérer le layering comme un ajout en parrallèle du signal, comme on le fait avec de la compression parrallèle somme toute... quand on y reflechi, la NY comp fait pareil, on met le signal dont on reduit très fort la dynamique en parralèle du signal brut

puis généralement aussi (enfin en tout ca moi je fait comme ca) j'envoi toutes les pistes de kick dans un seul Buss et je traite uniquement ce buss (avec un compresseur par exemple) ce fesant les layers envoyé dans ce compresseurs "se colle" au kick original suivant ainsi sa dynamique

il y'a aussi un dernière possibilité, c'est d'utiliser différent samples pour les layers, soit en selectionnant les slice au hasard (y'a une action SWS qui fait ca) soit en les selectionnant à l'oeil
