Default hide timeline markers? (how?)

Is there a menu option or hotkey to hide the timeline markers? When I work with some midi tracks in the notation editor it would be nice not to see those markers, keep the notation editor view cleaner.

If you're referring with 'timeline markers' to project or tempo markers:

These can be toggled on/off via the following ways:
  • Right-click menu of a marker or the bar number lane in the MIDI/Notation editor
  • View > Piano roll ruler and View > Notation View Options menus in the MIDI/Notation editor
  • 'Show project markers' and 'Show tempo/time signature markers' Actions in the Action List - Section: [MIDI Editor]

As additional note: the 'Show project markers' menu option and Action can also be found there.

Or are you looking for something else?

The Action List search for Show Project Markers allowed me to toggle the markers off. I did not see an option in the notation editor though to toggle the view of markers on/off, that would be a nice feature to have in a future version of Reaper (screenshot attached showing that feature is not in Reaper as you suggested it would be).

Some of the options are in the second menu I listed (View > Piano roll ruler) which are global for both MIDI & Notation Editor.

Yeah you are right-- I was able to toggle off the markers in the notation editor-- except I wasn't-- I first had to switch to piano roll, then toggle off the markers, then switch back to the notation editor. So I think a future version or update of Reaper really should fix this so it can be done within the notation editor without having to first toggle off markers in the roll editor.
