Default Meters in Waves VST3 plugs have suddenly stopped working

This has happened with the latest Reaper version 5.76. I tried updating the Waves plugins via Waves Central but the problem persists. The VST2 meters work fine.

Just checked with several of my Waves plugs with meters - all working fine here in both vst and vst3 versions.

Anything else changed in your setup recently?

I see the broken meters on the CLA comps too.

I thought there was a regression or similar dealing with routing/pins/side-chain that is being addressed for VST3, if the same I could see it affecting meters depending.

I don't know if this is in any way related but one thing that bugs me is that Waves meters don't work in Win10 with high contrast themes enabled. I was using a custom high contrast theme to get rid of all those horrid Windows white bits in REAPER that are an eyesore for us theme designers.

Interestingly, if I have high contrast enabled and open a Waves plugin, the meter doesn't work when the plugin is stationary but if I move it, the meters work while I am moving the plugin window with the mouse.

I haven't tested this with vst3. I'm only using vst2 for all my plugins because I've found vst3 in general to be quite flaky. Vst2 has been rock solid.

Just my Reaper version, and my Waveshell version, but I updated the Waveshell after the problem occurred, but it didn't fix it.

I'm just going to stick with VST2 for the time being as VST3 plugins are causing crashes as well when I delete tracks.
