Quick Start Guide
Hey just noticed you don't have a Quick Start Guide. While I got your attention your VST's are Plain and too scientific looking. How about some meters and round knobs. Thanks Andrew

Hi Andrew & welcome to the forums from a Nashvegas escapee from the eighties & early nineties!
Alongside that download for the user guide you will also find a set of free video tutorials which are really really good.
Have fun!
P.S. On the knobs meters and pretty shiny things front, you`ll find Reaper`s devs concentrate on giving you a decent set of basic tools that work before eye candy. Same goes for "free" VSTis, etc.
At least when you pick your own third party tools YOU get do decide what you want & what you dont want. And of course how much you pay - tons of really good free plugins and virtual instruments out there these days.
Many with all the bells and whistles you could ever want.

Most of things I use already have metering and how much do you think round knobs will improve the sound?

Maybe the mix will sound more rounded?

I may be 'feeding' here, but how much more "in your face on the main page" can this be?

Well if Reaper's plugins are that annoying to you, whatever you do, do NOT download ANY Airwindows plugins! Despite how great some of them are, you won't be able to get past their not looking like glossy/shiny/metal hardware with meters and lights and stuff making your eyes all happy.

(grin) When you joined the forum, along with all the other stuff at the top of the header page, is a download link for the Free User Guide and the videos I referred to.
Sorry you are getting a bit of a rough ride, but I suspect most of us replying are wondering how you missed it.
Oops - Uncleswede beat me to it!

My turn to be embarrassed - so busy reacting to his location (my old home town) I missed the 2007 rather than 2017!!!!
Y'know that thing about Tennesseans and their difficulties walking and chewing gum simultaneously?
Don't show the rest of us up, bwah!
