midi out not working

Hi i am having a problem with midi out. i am trying to send the bass line from a tb3 to a volca bass. It worked briefly. I have the tb3 connected to a midi sport 2x4 interface. I have set the midi ports in prefs. When i set the midi output to the volca midi out 2 nothing happens. I can see the light on the midi interface but no sound. When i play my microkorg and send midi to the volca it works. I have tried 2 midi interfaces they both refuse to send any midi out. Well the midi out lights go on but thats it. This . ,

If you want to send something TO the Volca you need to connect to its MIDI IN, not out.
