I like it! Fantastic guitar solo. What tone. I like the way the solo starts out using elements from the vocal line and builds from there. The descending sequence at the end of the solo was a nice touch.

Another reunion. Very cool to play with old mates again ain't it? It feels fresh again. The song itself just rocks, and I mean rocks. Love both the singer and drummer. Glad to hear you guys jamming together again.

Thanks Sam! We've been talking about doing something like this for over a year - just never happened. Finally, I just wrote something and sent it to them and said - here you go! Came together quickly after that. Just three of us; me on guitar/vox; drummer and bassist. Working with real people is a lot different than the solo, one-man band stuff. Some upsides, some downsides - but all good. I just wish they lived closer so we could play out live!! I miss that!!

As many times as I've heard your voice, I still never know when it's you singing. But the good thing is that I'm impressed each time after finding out.

Wondering if that's a good thing or not... lol. I think the reason is because I'm still trying to "find" my voice. It's really only been a year or so since I've made any real concerted effort at this. It all started as a 'means to an end' (i.e. finish a song) and will most likely never graduated beyond that. And that's ok with me. Thanks Sam!

Just a recorded DI thru a re-amp chain of plugs.
The intro-lead: Poulin Legion ampsim->TSE X50 (cabinet only - Sinmix dsl80)->reafir->reaxcomp->bx opto pedal->classical chorus (lead guitar preset, slightly tweaked)
The end-lead: Poulin Legion ampsim->TSE X50 (cabinet only - FatLazy Cabs FLCPulp)->reafir->reaxcomp

lol... No, just did a little housekeeping. Boys in the band decided we should have our own SC page, so I moved it over there. LINK updated in first post! Thanks Sam!

This is really great! I really love the singers voice. In the intro I thought he was going to do the yarling type singing of Creed, but then when it kicked in it turned out to have a pleasantly unique voice that fits this type of music perfectly.
I kept reading all these comments about the guitar tone and solo, and when the solo came in I could see why. Great solo and guitar tone.
The song is really catchy as well.
I only have one minor criticism. Although the mix sounds very full and professional, and your mixing skills are clearly ahead of my own, I do think there was something a little unpleasant about some of the high end frequencies. Something that made me not want to have it too loud. I compared it to Metallica's latest (I consider that to be a very well mixed metal album) I noticed with Metallica's I could turn it up very loud and it still sounded pleasant.

Thanks! I would agree on the highs. I think a lot of it is coming from the kit (OHs spec) - and maybe some from SC's bit crusher algorithm... I typically work with Toontrack, where all the kit pieces are polished and ready to use. Working with a real kit on this one was a challenge, to say the least. Listening again this morning after awhile it's clear I have some room for improvement.. lol. But - hey - that's why we love doing this stuff, right?? Thanks again man!
