Default My Jubilee song

HI All - I recently did a project with a local charity and would quite like some feedback as its the 1st thing I've recorded myself that's been released.

https://soundcloud.com/robfranklin/t...ow-what-i-mean

The charity runs music groups for kids and adults with various disabilities and some of them got involved with playing or singing on the track.

I recorded and mixed the track, but it was mastered by a friend of mine

Any comments gratefully received and let me know if you want any more info

The guy from the charity did a video, if anyone wants to know a bit more about the project.

oooooo i quite liked that. Catchy. Love the vocals and especially the sort of laid back feel of the back up vocals. sounds like several people singing. Then the harmonizing at the end was nice.

Good Job!!!!

If i had any critiques is that the lead singers vocals, which are wonderful!!!, were maybe just a tad high. and maybe the more gritty guitar on the left later in the song could be a smidge louder. Could be what i listened on. (phone and sony headphones, run of the mill).

The very end of the guitar solo, that volume could maybe get bumped up a little.

I bet that was a fun song to make. !!!!

Thanks for the positive feedback!

Yeah, it was a lot of fun to do. Its not going to break any new ground musically, but we had to keep to keep it simple for the service users.

It was also a really interesting project to go from the 1st song ideas to the completed product in 6 weeks, which is some kind of record for me! It was a bit rushed at the end though (and we STILL missed the jubilee), and if I'd had more time I probably would have re-recorded the distorted guitar and a couple of other little issues.
