Good on yer NAS!

I'll be very happy to help in any way I can, can supply you with commercially released CDs recorded mixed and mastered in Reaper (or MP3s thereof if you prefer), also let me know if there's anything else you'd like from me.

Great idea. I have a bunch of songs if you want um. Plug in and Hardware reviews would be cool. So might be short sections/podcasts on how to's in reaper.

Great idea.

Now how about an "Amateur Hour"?

Noun: amateur
1. Someone who pursues a study or sport as a pastime
2. An athlete (or musician) who does not play for pay

Adjective: amateur
1. Engaged in as a pastime
2. Lacking professional skill or expertise

So do the songs we want to contribute have to be made with REAPER?
I'm also assuming that the "unlicensed" will not be allowed to contribute?

Sweet.....got some tracks in the pipeline, all done with Reaper *and* are 95% composed with the Midi editor - will hopefully prove to the naysayers that that the Midi editing functions on Reaper are more powerful many people seem to think (.....or quite possibly that I'm a crap musician?)

If there was a vote I would have to say yes, Reaper Radio should try to promote Reaper. It makes no sense to put tunes up that were done in any other DAW. Sure, its nice pr for the artist or engineer but Reaper should be plugged. Now if the tune was for example tracked and mixed in Reaper but mastered with something else, I would think that counts.

My 2 cents.

I think he meant something else

Yeah dont put up anything you don't have rights to

But DO feel free to put up songs that may not be "pro"

as long as its from the community, thats the important thing

I'm not sure I would consider it 'piracy', but I think if you don't have a licensed version of Reaper... you shouldn't be able to get your tunes on the Reaper station.

I don't get anything when I click that link. It launches Media Monkey and zippo.

I'm kinda experimenting with a web media player to maybe offer clients a service like that.

I would agree with this, to have one's tunes promoted on a "Reaper station" the tune should have been tracked, mixed, or mastered with Reaper and the submitter of the tune should have at least a non-commercial license.

OK here I'll weigh in:

1) REAPER must have contributed to the end result. It doesnt have to be end-to-end REAPER, of course.

2) Let's not go placing restrictions on whether it was licensed. Perhaps we'll prioritize registered users materials, but at the end of the day if someone without any money makes something and submits it, we should be able to use it (getting SOMETHING out of them). Nevermind that verifying licenses is tedious.

One of many sweepers we'll hear from Josh:

Sounds like the REAPER Scythe did a number on someone.
