Default Windows XP still supported with latest version?

Just a quick question, as I know its still stated in the latest downloads..

I may have a 'tape recorder' PC (offline to the web) that just installs Reaper (latest) on Windows XP.

Is everything working the same as it would on say, Windows 10?

Thanks!

"Ah, I love the warm sound of Windows XP...!"

That'll be 'a thing' in 20 years.

I use my XP PC as a tape recorder, also. I really like the PCI slot that has my Lynx 2C sound card with 6 converters in it. So, it is really true- I do love the sound of my XP rig. Warm? Only if I toast the tubes in the preamps! Clear & precise? Yes.

My DAW -

ASUS P4PE Mobo, Intel 2.8P4, WIN XP with Reaper, 2 Yamaha DS2416s, 1 SW1000xg, 1 ECHO Mia.

Three more of the same.

Various outboard synths.

Some (very very very few)softsynths.

100+ tracks of audio, CPU usage 35-47%

Time spent on recording and all other things musical - 96%

Time spent on FU%^&ING around with my computer (mostly elective, other than solving some few Reaper issues)- 2%

Time spent on Reaper forum 0.5%

Time spent on drinking beer, etc. - 1.5%

You can parallelize those activities to gain some spare time. Also gives nice, loose feeling in your tracks.

Could I just ask, what total RAM are you using to get these figures?
As I am about to do the same with a Windows 10 Laptop and 4GB RAM on an older machine to see how it stacks up
