One little feature request I have: it would be nice if there was a way to disable displaying the chord of selected notes, and just always display the chord at mouse position instead. I find I sometimes want to do tasks like selecting the root notes of multiple chords, and in those circumstances using selection rather than mouse position is rather unhelpful.

hmmm, I could make it so that selection is only displayed if all selected notes actually overlap (and form a chord). This would also help with "all notes selected" situations. Finding out chords of non-overlapping notes can also be useful though I guess... not sure about this. If anyone has thoughts on this, please share

Yeah, definitely. Arpeggios would be an obvious example of that.

I guess the ideal would be to have an option for either behaviour. But of course I have no idea how much work that would be to implement.

Lil Chordbox v2.3:
  • Chord inversions are now shown by default
  • Selected chord is now only shown when notes overlap (new option in menu that is enabled by default)
  • Fix certain chords being incorrectly displayed as octaves. Report link

Thank you! That was a very fast turn-around.
