this is why I need to execute it twice to get it open next time before using it.

first execution is to set the toggle state to off, so the second execution would be on.
In the settings check "Close on new instance". It should update toggle state assuming you are on the latest version.

Just stumbled upon this magnificent tool. Using it to demo your commercial scripts. These seem like truly professional tools (and with prices to match I might add).

Question: Is it somehow possible to force the window focus on nvk_search at all times? What I'd like to do is to search and add numerous plugin effects to an item or track without ever loosing track of the search window.

As it is now, as soon as I add a plugin to a track or item, it looses focus to the search window, even when I turned off the auto-open plugin UI option.

Thus it's impossible to simply keep typing and adding which would make this much quicker to use. As it is now I need to search, press enter, click with mouse to regain active window status and the rinse and repeat.

BUG:

If you insert a big VSTi plugin that takes a long time to load, the script suddenly goes into endless mode where it keeps adding a new plugin on a new track over and over again. I also had other instances where it ended up adding tons of plugins in one go instead of just one.

Maybe the script can be limited somehow to only make sure it actually adds just ONE plugin instance and not an endless amount of them.

I actually had to force quit Reaper while the script kept adding instances of plugins.

EDIT: Nope.. it happens even if I have a track selected. It just keeps adding more and more Arturia CZ V synth plugins over and over again on the single selected track.

This particular synth, Arturia CZ V is actually 100% reproducible bug. I think it happens when I have absolutely no selection. No items, no tracks.. which forces the script to create a new track and then add the instrument and then it somehow goes into a loop and keeps doing it.

INFO: Mac Mini M1 Sonoma 14.6.1, Reaper v7.30, nvk_Search v1.16.0

Running nvk_Search in 'persistent mode', ESC always closes. Also have the 'stays open' option turned on and FX UI turned off.

WORKAROUND for bug: If I enable the 'close if unfocused' and turn off the 'stay open' option, then I don't get the infinite loop.
