Default Can't record audio.

I installed the .dmg and added the folder to the applications and when I open Reaper and arm a track to record and click to start, it says "Can't write to recording files, does directory exist?". Anyone know what I'm doing wrong. I'm running 10.4

You need to create a folder/directory to hold your project files.

After creating the folder, then in Reaper, Select Project in Preferences, and click on the Browse button at the bottom - and browse/find your created project directory.

The default one that Reaper is looking for is:

/Applications/REAPER/Projects

I don't recommend using that - create your projects directory somewhere else, like in your Documents or Music folder.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, that does help. I actually also found that if I start a new project and save it to to the desktop or any other location, I can then record through my macbook line in. Sorry to bother with something so trivial.
