Default MIDI device not recognized

Initially, when working through the manual, when I got to "setup MIDI devices," my NEKTAR was recognized and I configured it as instructed.

At some point, the NEKTAR was unplugged from AC. Now, after reconnecting, REAPER is unable to open the device,

!!! N/A: Enabled + Control

and

The inputs could not be opened

Total beginner here. Please help!

Thank you.

First thing to try would be the "reset all midi devices" button to force a rescan.

If no joy there try rebooting computer.

And if that's still no good try another USB port.

Have you installed Reaper before or after installing NEKTAR? They are very adamant on their site, that you need to install Reaper before you install the software for Nektar.

So maybe try the good ol' IT wizards trick of reinstalling the program.

Yes, I changed the USB port and tried the reset MIDI command. It worked!

Thank you!

Yes, REAPER was installed first. I changed the USB port and tried the reset MIDI command. It worked!
