Default Reaper Meter and Fx-parameter QUESTION

He im new here,

Im Ben from Berlin. reaper is the best daw for me!!!!

I want to know is there a way, to set preFX-meter in the mcp
and make little meter or little green lamps near plug ins ?
like on a Consle. I want to see on the mixer if there are any clipping.

This would be perfekt for a straight gain staging. I start mixing on analog gear
and I like my units blinking green ... :-)

And also can I costumize the knobs for the FXparameter in the mixer. Resize
the track and have two knobs side by side ? This were perfect.

I think reaper is a world of possibilitys . I would love to have the mcp like a mixing desk but with diffrent plug ins behind that.

Is there at theme that have the ability to set things like that?

Is there a Theme-maker who can set these for me ?

I would pay for that !!!!

There really should be little clip lights next to the plugins to assist in gain staging but I don't think that's possible with themes. Probably a script could be made to show inter-plugin clipping in a separate window.

In any case, there is a new option for pre-fader metering in the options menu if you are using the latest version.

You can change the param knob style in the mixer (though not easily), but cannot have more than one on a line. This is something I've also requested. I still need to update that FR with mockup images...

I know the prefader meter, but I wish preFX. Please where to find the clip light?

I guess ou would need to ask in the scripting forum if there is such a thing or if one can be made. Is the pre-fader meter really post fx? I assumed it would measure track input level instead of output. What would the point of a post fx meter even be?

I think it's rare for signals to clip in between plugins because of the 64-bit FP internal mixing, so maybe that's why it's not something people are clamoring for. I think clip lights would be great for troubleshooting. Sometimes a signal doesn't make it to the end of the chain and it's a pain to figure out where the problem is without any visual indicator.
