pheeww!
i glad to hear that because that error sounds was absolutely outer worldly to me
note:
i think i should add a Loudmax end of the fx chain and then save&re upload the Sharestrip..
EDIT:
(also added to my original post)
as a necessary info/help that i forgot
1- put a limiter to your master track or end of the Fx chain in Strip's track
2- after Randomize & tweaking the controls: hearing the changes may take some time according to Half Time(s) input buffer settings

Yep - all working beautifully
Except - now this isn't my or your fault - but might be a reaper bug...:
I have set undo states to only use 256Mb - BUT - every time I change something - undo states uses up 1Gb extra - and eventually (quickly) I run out of memory and my system crashes horribly.
The only way I can keep RAM use down - I have to manually select and remove all the undo states.
So I would say a Reaper bug as it's clearly ignoring my limit set in preferences :/
EDIT: Set undo states to 0 - ie. no undo - works beautifully!!
Must just remember to switch back when working on other projects.

aah!
its not a bug .. must be Freestyle settings in Reaper
close the project/Strip
in the Fx Browser:
check/activate Freestyle: Set minimal undo states
a few days ago - before i realize this-
i was almost about to post "Stripper has huge memory leak" report ..

what i noticed is:
you also included pattern parameters of MPS and as far as i know they are just internal snapshots and can't be stored in Stripper
i mean for example create different sequences for 8 slots capture Stripper Snapshot and go another 8 slots create and capture again
its impossible to recall that 8 slots as they are
i believe only plugin or hots preset manager can handle this.. seems not problematic in your setup but just want to share.
EDIT2:
Microtonic O-N-E Sharestrip
uses plugin's native program change .. just 16 slots per project

Hi Arthur - did I ever do anything about this? - I think it got lost and forgotten about (yes - been a little at a loss for things to do - so been reading over old post for things I've missed).
Can you provide an example for when it's not obvious a strip is offline/bypassed. For me - any controls attached to plugins - tend to dim when the plugin parameter is offline/bypass. Actually - they'll only dim when bypassed if a bypass control is added to the strip for that plugin. No bypass = no dim.
Otherwise - what exactly did you have in mind?

Hi Leon- boy oh boy do I love to hear you're looking for suggestions!
Here's what I was talking about : https://imgur.com/a/B75Pj . The top button is wet/dry, the second is bypass and the third offline. I was wanting a way to display the wet/dry control in its "off" state when the plugin gets bypassed, so it doesn't appear like it's still "on" (orange). But this could handily be solved by another, more useful request that would also allow us to cut down on the precious control count quite a bit:
A combined wet/bypass/offline control button: regular click toggles between 100% wet and dry, shift-click sets bypass, control-click sets offline. For simplicity, it could have 4 button states: wet on, wet off, bypassed, offline. I think it'd be a handy way to manage the states and I could delete about 500 bypass and offline controls!
While we're at it, here's some more requests I've been thinking about lately:
A way to send/update the CC values of all RCMidi CC controls on a given track.
A prog change control with more than 127 steps (if it's possible!)
Strip switchers that are buttons linked by an exclusive toggle. So instead of a drop-down menu with 5 choices, we could have 5 separate buttons that show their respective controls when clicked. I think would be a bit easier to navigate
Remove prefix and suffix characters from name and value displays
Is that enough things to think about ?

Glad you like it! It's inspired by you in more ways than one! Yes, I did figure that about the patterns in MPS, they're there because originally I wanted to swap between patterns live with Stripper Modulators. It turned out that getting the offset and the amounts right was kind of tricky so I ended up not using it the different patterns that much. I'm finding it way easier to record the MIDI out and manipulate it in the piano roll in needed.
Still no luck with the UGG strip. Set minimal undo states and updated to latest Freestyle but still getting the freeze. Did you by any chance save the strip with any FX windows open? I've had crash problems with that in the past.

oh good you aware of MPS patterns
..
UGGLT
its strange!
i just re saved and export to Shared again ..
now i am sure there is no Fx window open
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1lx...rVRLKpaaiEcNJd
original post also updated..
one more idea:
open the example project first .. instead of importing Sharestrip?
just download the controls & graphics (i just upload) and then try to open project..
https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.ph...postcount=2068
and as a final
if still doesn't work,
please would you name the plugins that you don't have
i can remove them and save a new version easily for you!
...
"OFF-TOPIC"
now i have a Q. to all Freestyle owners
does the Midi Program Change works for "Freestyle FX" version (Freestyle Snapshot system) ?
(i tried also in the FL STUDIO & it works there)
Freestyle 16 out Instrument version has no problem (obviously) ..
but i couldn't succeed for FX version so far ..
when you have time please would you try this for me!
(NSA support said it must be Reaper related)
-motto-
"end of the OFF-TOPIC"

Just another quick thanky you to Arthur for your Step Sequencer strip. Great fun - and working flawlessly (now I've managed to update HY-MPS to latest version - with the old HY-MPS I was running - the Speed control bypassed the plugin!).
I can see lots of use from this - perfect way to create interesting beats and other stuff. Also - using a macro control to alter the Swing parameter of all the MPS plugins at once works really nicely.

Leon I'm glad you like! For the swing macros, check out the Piz plugin too. It can do the "shuffle" thing where the swung notes are earlier too. Pretty awesome.
Found another bug while entering FX mode:
...wner\AppData\Roaming\REAPER\Scripts\LBX\LBX Stripper.lua:47913: attempt to get length of a nil value (global 'ctl_select')
Let me know if you want me to send the project
Timbral- thank you! I will give these a shot tomorrow. I tested FreestyleFX and can confirm it's not responding to program change messages like the regular version.

Fixed I think - going purely on the line number... Let me know if you think it's not.
Thanks for the tip on the Piz thing - I'm guessing it adds a little latency in order to move any notes early (not that this is a problem for me - I'm such an amateur when playing stuff in - I always need to fix things once recorded )

My head is still not so well up. I just work in small steps right now.
Again I lost a LBXfile. Is it just because of not properly saving? No way to rescue it??!!
"It appears the datafile is incomplete: Continue loading?"
hitting yes
"LBX Stripper.lua:50531: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value (field 'w')"

...and one other thing:
Everytime / most of the time, when I hit play in my project suddenly some/many Effects bypass state jumps to online in the active LBX strip...
I habe no idea why... Why are there somewhere "saved" values which are fired up when hitting play ?

Is it possible you closed Reaper and used the pop up save dialog on closing to save the data. This always seems to screw up saving as Reaper closes the script before it has the time to finish saving. Always save manually before closing Reaper - or close the Stripper script before quitting.
Anyway - assuming you have backup option on - even if not - try:
First backup all project files (rpp + lbxstripper data files).
Then - In your broken project :
"It appears the datafile is incomplete: Continue loading?"
Click *No*.
Blank stripper loads up.
Then go to ... menu ->Script Data->Load backup data file.
Select 'all files *.*' in the filter - now scan your save folder (wherever it saves the stripper data to) and look for something matching your project name with either .lbxstripper / .lbxstripper__ / .lbxbak / .lbxbak_tmp.
The .lbxbak_tmp file should exist if saving fails.
Look for the largest file size - this is often the most complete one.
Try loading each data file to see which is most complete.
The error you are getting is purely because one of the stripper data files is corrupted/incomplete. Load one of the more complete ones - it will go away.

This is odd. Is there any hidden automation that might cause this. What shortcut do you use to Play? I've never had this happen to me - and there certainly is no code that would do this deliberately that I can think of. Can you send me a copy of the project with lbxstripper data files?

New update:
2 new features.
A strip switcher control - you can right-click and explode the pages out into separate buttons. The main switcher can then be hidden (although always accessible in edit mode). If you add new pages - the create page buttons only creates the new ones - although you may need to move them about.
A new draggable control in the FX parameter list is Wet/Bypass/Offline control. This is a 3 in one control for any plugin.
Left click the control simply switches between 100% Wet and 0% Wet (reaper parameter). Holding Shift+Click - bypasses the plugin. Holding Ctrl+click sets the plugin offline. In Offline or Bypass mode - simply click on the control to switch back to whatever Wet mode was last set (reenabling the plugin).
You can also right-click this control to bring up a menu which allows you to associate other plugins with this single control - sort of like a macro button. So you can control multiple plugins at once - all with this 3 mode feature. All plugins will always be set to the same setting when the control is clicked on.
You can add/remove as many plugins as you like - but can never delete the original plugin assignement that the control is associated with. It's this plugins settings that are always used to monitor current value of the control - so if you manipulate the original plugins bypass/offline state externally - the control will follow this - but any other associated plugins will not - so you need to always use the control if it is associated with more than one plugin if snapshots are recorded etc.
Snapshots will capture the state of this control - but any external actions to the state of any associated plugins will result in incorrect values being stored.
Also - multiple - multi-plugin wet/offline/bypass controls controlling the same plugins will likely be unpredictable when recording snapshots.
This control will not currently morph using snapshot morphing - it would be suicidal to allow it as processing is very intensive as the control needs to manipulate the track chunk and doing this repeatedly in a morph would kill the CPU.
But great for simply toggling the state of multiple plugs at once.
I've tested a LOT over the last few days - and so far working perfectly for me. Let me know of any issues.

Wooow Leon, what a great update. Will report any issues after testing, but just wanted to say Thaaaanks!,
The switcher-thing is a great addon for my Nebula-ConsoleSwitchers, but might also be very useful for my Nebulacomps.
The 3in1-Bypass is also amazing. Will see how I will implement this in my nebula-eqs, but will definetely help in a lot of cases.
Great great update!! Very excited here

Nice!
I should also add that for the wet/byp/off buttons - they should work ok with a 4 frame control graphic. So if anyone wants to create one - the order of stages (top to bottom in frame stack) is:
Wet On (100% wet)
Wet Off (100% dry)
Bypass
Offline
This is not something I've had time to do.

Let me know if there are any problems with frame selection - I have only looked at it on a standard knob control with 100 frames - so difficult to tell if it will pick the correct frames in a 4 frame control - but it should do...

just created
Wet On (100% wet) = Green
Wet Off (100% dry) = Brown-ish
Bypass = Red
Offline = Black-ish
seems Bypass shows frame 4 instead of 3
control attached for quick test if you want to try
-motto-
EDIT:
added 5th frame (dark blue / dead frame) for testing seems works now..

Thank you! - should now be fixed for 4 frame control.
EDIT: Have emailed you about a minor fix to the control graphic.

Have found a little glitch when setting bypass with the new 4 state control. Bypass does not cause the controls to fade like they do with the bypass button.
I'll look into this - should be easy enough to fix - but need to do it properly otherwise it might waste cpu as it searches through the controls list for affected controls.
Hopefully have it fixed soon.
But still functions fine as it is.
EDIT: should be fixed
EDIT2: not quite fixed - snapshots don't update the control transparency correctly yet... will look into.

Yes - correct. Have fixed for when control is clicked on the strip. Snapshots still don't respond properly (everything is set correctly - just controls don't fade/unfade correctly).
Will look into when I get a mo.

Aaah - actually - it seems snapshots have messed up - and do not seem to recall correctly with the buttons.
This will take some looking into...
