Two cd's, I've only checked out the first but it is excellent...no surprises just incredibly deep, empathetic and uniquely melodic playing. As always.
If you like Mehldau I highly recommend Largo, a beautiful album with a deep groove.

Baroness is a great band!!
btw, have you heard their earlier ep's???
personally i think the red album is nothing compared to the first and second EP's. the red album is more stonery and prog rock, while the first and second ep's are more thrash metal, with a million riffs all over place. some of the better metal songwriting i've heard in years on those ep's...!!!

I'm listening to "Revolution On the Dance Floor" by Thomas Falke -- pretty sick song.
I don't usually go for techno but this is sort of like a wierd crossover between rock and techno/trance. It's got the rock guitars but a computer-voice. It sounds like a dude singing but singing through a computer maybe.
I found a link to this song actually on a forum, and then I was in my brother's friend's car and he had it playing! It seems pretty underground but it's actually easy to download online -- here -- http://www.electricfilebox.com/tracks

You were listening to all that at the same time? Crikey!
I'm currently listening to Aerosmith's 'Permanent Vacation', which would be one of the finest albums in the world ever if their own 'Pump' didn't exist and FNM had never recorded The Real Thing.

Genesis - 'Then There Were Three.'
I keep hoping it's better than I remember it but it always lets me down.
I mean, really, 'Snowbound'. What a bunch of over-wrought twaddle. Might have sounded good at the time though.

I just discovered the new "Live at Montreux" website:
http://www.liveatmontreux.ch
Some very nice live HQ vids of last year's edition of one of my favorite music festivals to be found there...
I will be in Montreux in 2 weeks to see Marcus Miller and Return To Forever live in concert. Can't wait for it!!

I'm listening to our morning status meeting. We're discussing the subtleties of calculating the volumes, pressures, and durations of sidestream activities for oil pipelines.
Wheeeeee.

'Roots' by Sepultura
Not that I intended to get this going again, but I think if you need to listen to Sepultura, at least pick an album from before they got hella-frikkin-balls-to-the-wall-stupid. I think 'Refuse / Resist' is in my playlist next.
Rawk!

Arkona. Russian folk metal.
I'm really liking this band, and I'm really falling in love with the singer, Masha "Scream":
And indeed, she can SCREAM!

+1. Arise was the very first thrash metal I've ever heard. My life changed forever after that.
In my band we do 2 Sep covers: Roots bloody roots and Refuse/resist. LOVE playing those. The adrenaline... \m/ (>_<)

RadioIO, Alt Rock Classics.... can't help to plug that channel, so much good music I've never heard but wish I had long time ago. Right now Tori Amos... no, that ended, now it's Verve - Sonnet.
EDIT: and all for "free" (commercials are quite scarce)

Nice. That was the first Sepultura album I heard as well - it was one of the awesomest things I had ever heard. But, I'd have to say the awesomest thrash record *ever* (IMO, of course) may be Fabulous Disaster by Exodus.
