Default GUI Issue

I have saved Reaper with a new default layout. The image on the left has a Master mixer on the far right that goes from the top to the bottom of the screen. When I close Reaper and reopen it the Master mixer is shorter. It doesn't go top to bottom. Is this a bug?

I have also removed the grid and changed from Measured Beats to Minutes:Seconds, but this also defaults back. Does a window layout not change this.

If I save it as a project Template it does open correctly

Another question: How do I change the default background color of the FX Browser?

Thanks

Martin

Just to clarify: how did you do that, exactly (via which menu)?

If you haven't already, use File > Project Settings > [Save as default project settings]

Windows like the FX Browser are using the OS colors: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=199738
