Default No note preview of highlighted notes

Could there be an option to not hear a preview of the note in the MIDI editor when it is selected / highlighted?

In the mouse modifiers I have 'Copy note' under 'shift+left drag'. When I select one or more notes to copy I don't want to hear a preview of the notes while dragging them around for copying. But I want to hear the notes when I draw them in.

Yes, yes, yes! That would be a great option to have.

Highlight preview is much more intuitive imo than clicking those tiny notes.

Thanks for the reply. I might be thinking of the opposite If I click a note, drag one around or draw in a new, I will get a preview sound. If I use the marquee tool to select one or several notes and drag them around, I will not get a preview.

One addition here. It would also be nice to not have previews of notes during playback. Often I see something wrong in the notes while I listen and I fix it while still listening. But I don't want a preview at that moment. It just interferes with the playback.
