Default WAV metadata editing - allow editing of more chunks

Hi all,
Would it be possible to allow Reaper to modify additional WAV file chunks to get Reaper multisampling to play nicely with 1010 Music products like Blackbox and Bitbox? Or is it already possible?
Currently, the 1010 music developers either suggest learning Akai MPC Beats (no thanks) or paying for another piece of software like SampleRobot (no thanks)

It doesn't appear that Reaper can create/modify the following metadata:
smpl - loop points and root note
inst - key and velocity range
acid - beat count for clips
cue - slice points stored as cue points

I know there is an older thread in this subforum about loop points which may be related, and Jon from Reaperblog talked about this briefly in his livestream this week.

Thanks!

Absolutely +1
It would be super nice to have the ability to edit these via Reaper and batch create samples to use on hardware that uses these metadata chunks. The 1010 music community is really looking for a simple solution to this, and for us using Reaper it's the obvious choice!

Hope this request is heard out.

If you export markers in a wav file using Reaper, the markers are stored as cue points in the CUE chunk. However, I think there are different methods of doing this, so the software you’re trying to test this with might have a specific way it needs the cues to be stored.

If I remember correctly, the CUE chunk only contains the cue id and position. The name of it is in the INFO chunk.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the info, Mordi.
The 1010 bitbox/blackbox are pieces of hardware (bitbox is eurorack, blackbox is standalone). Those machines already handle slicing nicely, but dialing in root note and velocity info is a real hassle (imo). Being able to access the non-cue metadata would be helpful.

Seems like the request was heard!

I haven't tried it yet but if this is what I think it is, it's super great. Looking forward to trying it out. I'll report back but it may take a while.
