Default Copy midi part to new

Hi all,
I'm enjoying the development of this excellent application.

This is pretty simple, have I missed something...? I want to copy a midi part and paste it somewhere else as a new part, so that when I edit the new part the original remains unedited.

I realise that when you make a copy both parts reference the same original file. Is there a quick way to make a copy with a new base file at the same time?

EDIT. Aside from copying, it would be also be good just to have a context menu option to make a part "unique" - ie. to create a new base file for it.

Thanks.

I had this problem too. One more more or less simple solution, I found no other so far, is to use the Media Explorer. Go in the folder where keep your MIDI Files, copy & paste it as a new file in the Explorer and drag it in your project. Maybe there is a shortcut I don't know yet for this, at least there should be one.

Or "Edit > Open item copies in editor" and save there.
